New Bloomfield sectional playoff game postponed until today

The Wildcats Class 2 sectional playoff game against Brentwood originally scheduled for Monday will instead be played today at 5 p.m in St. Louis. The game was postponed following excessive rain fall on Monday.

The game is supposed to be played at Brentwood Park but if it is decided that the field is not playable, the game will be played at the same time but moved to Ladue Horton Watkins High School.

New Bloomfield (16-4) is coming off of a 11-0 win over Harrisburg last Wednesday to earn the Class 2, District 6 championship. Brentwood (16-6) had its Class 2, District 5 championship game pushed back twice before finally playing it on Saturday. The Eagles won that game 4-3 over Maplewood-Richmond Heights.

Should New Bloomfield advance, the Wildcats would host the winner of the Ellsberry/Schuyler County sectional game on Wednesday evening.
