Olivet Nazarene's late rally trips Lady Owls

The William Woods University Lady Owls softball team couldn't resist Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University's late charge.

No. 17 Olivet Nazarene overcame a 3-1 deficit by rallying for five runs in the top of the sixth inning and adding three more in the seventh to topple William Woods 9-4 in the first game of pool play at the NAIA national championships Thursday.

The Lady Tigers' comeback in the sixth was highlighted by junior shortstop Jordan Reynolds' two-run double and freshman left fielder Lauren Johnson's two-run single. Reynolds raced home with the other run in the inning on a wild pitch by Lady Owls freshman starter MacKenzie Bowden.
