The case of a Holts Summit man accused of killing three Callaway County residents last October has been returned to the local courts just days after a change of venue to Boone County was approved.
Joshua Maylee, 24, of Holts Summit, is again scheduled to appear in Callaway County Circuit Court for the murders of Eugene and Jackie Pinet and Jeffrey Werdehausen and the attempted murder of Gina Werdehausen. Maylee has pled not guilty to the crimes.
According to Missouri CaseNet, the change of venue order was "set aside and cause returned to Callaway County, said order having been entered under court's mistaken belief that request for change of venue was jointly made."
The case has been transferred to the trial request docket.
