The New Bloomfield Wildcats will try to gain passage to the state playoffs by staying perfect at home.
Top-seeded New Bloomfield - coming off a 4-1 victory over No. 4 Harrisburg in Monday night's semifinals - will square off against Show-Me Conference foe Eugene for the Class 2, District 6 championship at 6:30 tonight.
No. 2 seed Eugene reached the title game with a 7-2 win over No. 3 Linn in Monday night's other semifinal.
New Bloomfield (15-4), which received votes in the latest Class 2 state poll released by the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association, is undefeated at home this season. The Wildcats defeated Eugene 13-7 on April 19 in New Bloomfield.
