Auxvasse hears idea for new subdivision plan

Tom Baughman of Auxvasse approached the board at Tuesday night's Board of Alderman meeting about plans for a new subdivision off of Maple Street. He owns 7 acres he told the city he would like to develop into lots and sell.

"I think this is a very viable way to develop this land," Baughman said after showing the layout to the board.

Walker said he thought it was a great idea as long as the lots were restricted to building single-family homes only.

The subdivision plans are currently being looked over by the city's Planning and Zoning Commission and the city is waiting on the commission's recommendation before proceeding with any action. City Supervisor Justin Feger told the board the city would need to look into its lift station in the area to make sure it could handle a number of new homes going up.
