Postmen fear more attacks by pit bulls

Fulton’s Postmaster Roger Bounds said Monday letter carriers are carrying Mace tear gas and pepper spray to protect themselves from dog attacks in Fulton.

“Lord help us if any letter carrier is attacked again by a pit bull,” said Fulton Postmaster Roger Bounds.

Bounds said Fulton Postman Tom Galloway returned to work on April 16 after he was mauled by two pit bulls on March 1. “But he is still going through a lot,” Galloway said.

Bounds said Galloway had to Mace another dog while making his rounds only a week after he went back to work.
