The North Callaway girls and boys extended their monopoly of the Mid-Missouri Conference track championships.
Jordan Gray won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters on Monday to help direct the Ladybirds to their fifth straight MMC girls’ title. Taylor West, Jared Graves, Zac Eads and Jimmy Craighead each posted first-place finishes as the Thunderbirds claimed their third consecutive conference boys’ championship.
In the boys’ division, Bryan Lechner triumphed in the 110 and 300 hurdles — as well as the triple jump and long jump — to pace South Callaway to a fourth-place finish. On the girls’ side, Taylor Howard prevailed in both the 400 and pole vault as South Callaway came in fourth overall.
