Auxvasse discusses sewer system dilemma

AUXVASSE - The city's sewer system was broached more than once during Tuesday night's regular Auxvasse Board of Aldermen meeting.

It was first brought up when a resident complained to the board about having paid two year's worth of city sewer bills when it turned out that her sewer line was not actually hooked up to the city's main line. The homeowner alleged her line was supposed to be hooked up to the main line years ago and when her yard was recently dug up after septic problems, it was discovered her line was not tapped into the city's line. She claimed the city should have made sure it was connected years ago and wanted reimbursement for money paid toward past sewer bills.
