Two people were injured in separate one-car accidents Monday in Callaway County.
Sheryll D. Veltrop, 59, Holts Summit, suffered serious injuries and was flown by the Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. She also faces five charges by the Missouri State Highway Patrol relating to the accident.
The patrol reported three patrol officers investigated the accident. Veltrop was released for medical treatment after the accident. She was cited by the patrol for careless and imprudent driving that resulted in an accident, first offense driving while intoxicated, child endangerment, failure to secure a child of less than 8 years old, and failure to wear a seat belt.
