Libraries are known to be quiet places of reading, but without an enclosed area, the Fulton High School Library and Media Center has been open to all the hallway noise of students' comings and goings. This will soon change once the renovations currently underway are complete.
Karen Snethen, library media specialist, has been with the Fulton Public School District for about 12 years. She said enclosing the library to make a quieter study place has been a request to the district for almost as long as she's been there. Library renovations - part of the 2010 bond issue - started June 7 and are set to be completed by Glove-Con, Inc. before school begins on Aug. 17.
