Sandra Plunkett, 37, Holts Summit, pleaded not guilty but did not appear in Callaway County Circuit Court Monday for her scheduled arraignment on a first-degree murder charge.

Justin Carver, her public defender court-appointed attorney, Monday morning told the court he had filed a signed statement with Plunkett’s signature attesting to her desire to waive her appearance at the arraignment and to plead not guilty.
