A tradition steeped in Callaway County history will be observed on June 17 when the annual Fulton Street Fair Mule Auction gets underway.

An authentic mule sale will be held at the southwest corner of the Callaway County Courthouse, just as Callaway County farmers did several decades ago.

Last year rain and high winds disrupted the fair but it didn't dampen the spirits of thousands of Street Fair visitors nor stop the annual mule sale that attracted about 20 mules for the auction.
