It seems only fitting that on a record-setting day, the New Bloomfield Wildcats set records all over the place.
Going into Thursday’s Class 2 state championship game, the Wildcats knew they could set a record for most state team titles with a win.
What they couldn’t have imagined was how they would do it.
New Bloomfield not only broke a tie with Oak Park for most team titles by getting its seventh, but the Wildcats went wild offensively in a resounding 20-4 win over Summit Christian Academy.
