Fulton schools work to fix alarm glitch

For two nights in a row, the Fulton Fire Department sent out a full response to an alarm at Fulton Middle School.

Fortunately, on both Tuesday and Wednesday night the alarm ended up being nothing, but school officials are working to make sure it does not happen again.

"We're still not sure why (it's been going off)," Superintendent Jacque Cowherd said Thursday afternoon. "The technicians have been out here the past two days working at the pole barn - they think it's some kind of cable glitch."

To help the tornado-stricken people of Dumas and surroundings, donations can be made to the Delta Area Disaster Relief Fund, care of the Delta Area Community Foundation, P.O. Box 894, Dumas, AR, 71639, or through the Arkansas Community Foundation, 700 S. Rock St., Little Rock, AR, 72202.
