Fulton to host third, last animal control forum

Tonight is Fulton residents' final opportunity to voice their opinions on the city's proposed new animal control ordinance before it goes to the Fulton City Council for discussion and approval.

Mayor LeRoy Benton and other members of the committee that developed the suggested ordinance will be hosting the third and last of a series of town hall meetings on the topic at 6 p.m. at City Hall, located at 18 E. Fourth St.

"If (Fulton residents) have any questions about it, this would be the time to ask," said Ward 3 Councilman John Pautz, who served as chairperson for the Animal Control Committee. "I think we have a product here that everybody can live with, and I look forward to getting it passed."
