Auxvasse — With the help of a grant from the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Auxvasse Fire Department was recently able to purchase some needed equipment.

On Thursday the MDC delivered a $3,000 check to Fire Chief Nick Kaufman. The check reimbursed almost half of the $6,500 the department had spent on buying a blower fan, rescue saw and 1,500 feet of water hose.
