Vonnie Byars doesn’t like to photograph people. But animals are a different story.
Case in point: a portrait of Chevy, the 2011 Callaway County Humane Society canine mayor. Byars’ latest effort is a digitally-painted portrait of the 12-year-old black labrador that hangs around his owner’s shop, Adorable Grooms, a pet grooming shop on Fifth Street.
