About 300 New Bloomfield area residents are expected at the “Supper with the Super” on July 18 at the New Bloomfield High School Cafeteria.

The 6 p.m. meet-and-greet event was arranged to welcome David Tramel, the new superintendent of the New Bloomfield R-3 School District.

Gracia Backer, president of the New Bloomfield R-3 Board of Education, appointed a welcoming committee to arrange the event.

Tramel will speak to the group to outline the goals he has developed to improve the district and the education of children.

“We want everybody in the community to attend. Everyone is welcome. Invitations have been sent to school supporters, the Parent-Teacher Association and others throughout the community,” Backer said.
