Fulton motorcycle group organizes ride to benefit Joplin school children

Ridin’ the Road to Recovery, an informal group of motorcycle riders in the Fulton area, is organizing a July 16 benefit motorcycle ride from Fulton to Joplin to help buy school supplies for school children hit by a disastrous tornado on May 22.

Angie Gowin of Fulton said she and her father, Roger Gowin of Fulton, were discussing what they could do to help Joplin tornado victims. They came up with an idea of charging riders $20 to participate in the ride and using the money raised to buy school supplies for Joplin students.
