A 2 percent pay raise for Callaway County employees is likely to be included when the county’s more than $7 million 2012 budget is approved later this week, Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann said Tuesday.
“We still have some fine-tuning remaining in the budget, but I believe the final budget will have a 2 percent pay increase for county employees,” Jungermann said.
The commission decided to include enough money in the budget to grant all county employees a 2 percent pay hike and give department directors the option of deciding how to apportion the money.
