Eighth-grade Hornets suffer 44-28 setback at Kirksville

KIRKSVILLE — James Pittman responded with 15 points in the Fulton Middle School eighth-grade Hornets’ 44-28 loss to Kirksville on Tuesday night.

De’Angelo Walker followed with six points for FMS (4-3), which trailed 27-14 at halftime. Lorenzo Kemp added four points.

The Hornets host Boonville at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

KIRKSVILLE — Jared Peery made 6-of-7 shots in finishing with 12 points in the Hornets’ 11-point loss to the Tigers on Tuesday night.

Devin Masek also supplied six points for Fulton Middle School (3-4), which was down 20-16 at the break. Justin Adams and Josh Quick contributed four points apiece.

The Hornets travel to Blair Oaks at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
