Central Missouri law enforcement authorities are seeking a man who fled from a patrol chase Saturday and trying to learn why another man was lying in a street before a car ran over him on Sunday.

Authorities are seeking a suspect who fled from a stolen truck north of New Bloomfield Saturday and attempting to learn why a man was lying in a street when a Holts Summit man accidentally ran over him on Sunday.

Authorities are seeking a suspect who fled Saturday night after leading a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper on a high speed chase in southern Callaway County along Highway Y near Guthrie.

Sgt. Paul Reinsch of the patrol said a trooper attempted to stop a truck for having no tail lights. After the suspect would not stop, Reinsch said the trooper chased the truck along Highway Y at speeds more than 100 m.p.h. at 11:27 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect wrecked the truck on Highway Y just west of the Route J intersection and fled on foot. The trooper pursued the suspect on foot but lost him. A patrol helicopter also searched the area but was unable to find the suspect.

The patrol reported the wrecked truck was stolen earlier in Troy, Mo.
