Fulton firefighters back some of the department's equipment into its new home at the Tennyson Road station. The city will host a ribbon cutting and open house at the new station from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Dec. 15.

The furniture is all in place, the fire trucks are safely parked in their new garage and radio dispatch equipment is installed.

The only thing that remains to make the Fulton Fire Department's new station on Tennyson Road operational are active phone lines - which are expected to be functional by early this week.

With all but the last few finishing touches to go, the City of Fulton has scheduled a ribbon cutting and open house from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, to give area residents the opportunity to come in and tour the new facility.

Fulton Fire Chief Dean Buffington said he would encourage local citizens to take advantage of the opportunity.
