Jeff City mayor to speak at William Woods graduation

Jefferson City Mayor Eric Struemph, a graduate of William Woods University, will be the featured commencement speaker Dec. 9 at the university.

Struemph has a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a master of business administration (MBA) degree from William Woods. He also is an adjunct faculty member of the school.

Struemph was elected mayor of Jefferson City in May. He is the general manager for CED/Philips and Company, an electrical distributor in Jefferson City and Osage Beach.

Active in Jefferson City civic affairs, Struemph has served as chairman of the Salute to America 2011 board of directors, vice chairman of the Public Safety Committee of the City Council of Jefferson City, president of the Jefferson City Jaycees and as a board member of the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce.
