Lady Owls extend win streak

POINT LOOKOUT - Senior guard Sharron Andrews scored 17 points Tuesday night and the William Woods University Lady Owls extended their winning streak to four games with a 73-60 victory over College of the Ozarks.

Andrews led four players in double figures for William Woods (6-2), which was in front 30-24 at halftime. Freshman guard Blake French also supplied 14 points, while junior guard Ashley Taylor and sophomore guard Katie Scherder both had 11.

Four players had seven rebounds apiece as the Lady Owls easily controlled the boards by a 50-30 margin.

Morgan Smith answered with a game-high 22 points to lead College of the Ozarks.

William Woods returns home to play Lindenwood University-Belleville at 4 p.m. Saturday as part of the inaugural Arris' Pizza and Pub College Basketball Classic at Anderson Arena.
