Art group requests photos for children's festival

Those who love to snap photos will have a chance to put their skills to good use.

This year's community project through the Auxvasse Creative Arts Program calls on all photographers young and old to send in their pictures. The Photovoice Project asks community members to "capture the essence of life in Callaway County." The photos will be displayed for viewing at the Ashley Garrett Memorial Children's Art Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Domann Park in Auxvasse. The same art festival will also take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Veterans Park in Fulton, and the photos will be displayed again.
