Man accused of throwing meth lab at deputy

A southeast Missouri man is accused of throwing a shake-and-bake meth lab at a deputy, causing a fire that torched a trailer.

The Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic reports that 32-year-old Shawn Daggett faces charges that include manufacture of a controlled substance, assault on a law enforcement officer and arson. A second man, 25-year-old Glenn Yandell, is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance.

Both were jailed and did not have listed attorneys.

Butler County Deputies were called Friday to a home in Harviell, where Daggett was allegedly seen holding a 2-liter soda bottle typically used to make so-called shake-and-bake methamphetamine.

Sgt. Brandon Waggoner says Daggett ran into a trailer behind the home and threw the meth concoction at the door Waggoner was trying to enter, causing the trailer to catch fire.
