Craft show to benefit NB students

A wide variety of crafts will be available for possible holiday gifts during the seventh annual New Bloomfield Schools Craft Show on Saturday.

The free event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the New Bloomfield High School Gymnasium.

Crafts scheduled to be at the show include Christmas ornaments, woodworking, scented candles, candy bouquets, jewelry, hair bows and many attractions such as booths from The Pampered Chef and Mary Kay cosmetics.

Food available to purchase includes chili, hot dogs, pizza, chips and beverages.

In addition to crafts and free face painting, children will have an opportunity to visit with Santa from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Christmas carolers will entertain at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Julia White said the event is held each year to help buy basic school supplies for the New Bloomfield Elementary School such as copy paper and lamination film.

The money is raised by renting booths to craft show vendors.
