“Three Generals,” by Kay Hively, is an historical fiction serialized story that not only shares the
history of three of Missouri’s famous generals, but also is a springboard for character education
lessons. This story gives many opportunities to discuss the importance of leadership skills,
perseverance, dedication and hard work.
