WWU women's basketball team signs transfer
By RYAN BOLAND
The Fulton Sun

William Woods University women's head basketball coach Dan Chapla has announced the signing of Laken Enochs to a letter-of-intent for the 2008-09 season.

Enochs - a Harrisburg graduate - is transferring to William Woods from NCAA Division II Truman State University in Kirksville.

A 5-foot-7 point guard, Enochs played basketball and softball, and competed in track at Harrisburg. She was named to the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association all-state team three times, and also was a four-time all-district and all-conference selection.

Enochs played on four conference championship teams at Harrisburg.

“We are extremely pleased that Laken has decided to continue her career with us,” Chapla said. “She is a true point guard who can run a ballclub.

“It's easy to see that she is a coach's daughter who grew up in the gym. She has a very bright future with us.”
